A No Name, Going in His Name!

For far too long so much emphasis has been placed on the names of what is being done for the Kingdom.  It is as though we have become focused on the definition of the action instead of the defining factor.  When what we are doing overshadows whom we are doing it for, the cart has indeed past the horse!

Those things most valuable to the work of God are accomplished at a heart level.  When the very essence of who He is, occurs through our obedience.  Often times the very core of His work, that which shifts all of humanity in an instance, seems unnoticed and unmerited.  In the dark corners of humanity, the grime of the world, the uncleanliness of sin, and the most uninviting of atmospheres lies the pulse of God.

Realizing this compels the soul to grasp that it is not important, nor even necessary that the world know our name.  No running tallies are necessary of good deeds or monumental accomplishments.  The need for platforms and stages begins to wain in the overwhelming sense of His power and message.  Our name, our works, our identities outside of Him become so minuscule in the light of Him.

We can neither be judged nor rewarded in this life for those things we so desperately want others to notice we have done for Him.  Our flesh, so flawed yet so useful, when yielded to Him should instead find solace in this fact.  The comfort of knowing not only do we not have to claw for recognition, but neither do we have to beg for it.  Both are freely given by the One who sends us, those "no names" out to do His most precious work in His name!
